About Me

My name is Rachael Ford and I am a surface pattern designer from sunny Southport based in Leeds. I am about to begin the third year of my degree Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Leeds College Of Art. This blog is primarily a showcase of my work inside and out of uni but also to share a few of my inspirations and bits I like. I am a colour addict, I enjoy creating digital design, texture, and mixed meida prints using both fabric and paper. Indigo

I thought I would share with you some of the work I have been creating so far this year. Here is a sample of my fashion fabrics I sent to Indigo in February of this year. They were high fashion prints influeced by floral motifs and geometric shapes. I printed them digitally onto silk twill-Hope you like them!
